Resurface

I built Resurface because remembering all the details from years of podcasts is difficult, and finding those details can be a challenge. Resurface solves these problems.

Add a feed, download an episode, and Resurface transcribes it right on your Mac, iPhone, or iPad. All on your devices. No accounts, no servers, no subscription. Then search every word across every episode you have transcribed. Click a result and playback jumps to that exact moment.

Search understands meaning, not just exact words. Ask for "the part about burnout" and it finds it even if nobody said "burnout." With Apple Intelligence you can also get a summary of any episode and ask it questions. Answers cite the timestamps they came from, so you can go listen for yourself.

Resurface also spots the ads in a transcript and dims them, so the sponsor reads stay out of your way.

Your library syncs through iCloud. Transcribe on the Mac and read on the phone. You can even ask your Mac to download and transcribe an episode from your iPhone, and the transcript comes back to you when it is done.

Everything is built on Apple's own frameworks. Speech recognition, on-device models, iCloud. Your listening stays yours.
